Los Angeles, CA - May 16, 2007 - Rigel Entertainment, the Los Angeles based international sales, financing, and production company has acquired international rights to the comedy "Blonde and Blonder" starring Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards. The announcement was made today by Rigel CEO John Laing.
Pamela Anderson will be in Cannes along with the filmmakers for the film's highly anticipated World Market Premiere on May 18th while Rigel Entertainment will be presenting the film to foreign buyers for the first time.
Directed by Dean Hamilton ("Savage Land") from a screenplay he wrote with Rolfe Kanefsky ("Nightmare Man") and Gerry Anderson (brother of Pamela Anderson) ("No Rules"), the film is produced by Jeffrey Barmash ("Flinch"), Kirk Shaw ("Battle in Seattle") and Hamilton. Gerry Anderson and Lindsay MacAdam are co-producers.
Starring alongside Anderson and Richards are Byron Mann ("Shanghai Kiss"), Meghan Ory ("John Tucker Must Die"), John and Kevin Farley ("The Benchwarmers") and Emmanuelle Vaugier ("Saw II").
In the film, ditzy dames and best friends Dee Twiddle (Pamela Anderson) and Dawn St. Dom (Denise Richards) find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time and witness a mob hit. Due to a series of hilarious coincidences, two Mafiosi confuse them for the world's top female assassins. After taking the information back to their boss, the mobsters decide that the duo might be perfect for their next hit and offer the girls an absurd amount of money to complete the job. Their task will be to "take out" Mr. Wong (Byron Mann), the head of the rival Chinese mafia. With the money involved, the two blondes happily accept, but soon find themselves in way over their heads as they go on a wild road adventure, simultaneously having to dodge federal agents and real mobster hit men.
